This guide will help you schedule a scan on the IDShield account

2. Reason for Rescan

If there was a failed scan, the customer has the option to rescan to check if the remediation solved the issue

You only need to guide the customer in starting the rescan. Scans may take several hours so advise the customer to review the results once finished and contact us again if there are any vulnerabilities found

Sometimes customers want to rescan the same host or IP address to double-check that there are no vulnerabilities. Rescanning will not give out different results if the host or URL already passed a recent scan. Politely inform the customer that a resan is not necessary and they take several hours to complete. If the customer insists, guide them in starting the rescan and advise them to call back if there are any issues.
