It may become necessary, for either speed or connectivity reasons, to change the DNS servers your Smart TV uses.
This guide will walk you through changing the DNS server settings your LG Smart TV uses.
2. Determine Platform
We must determine which platform is loaded on your LG Smart TV before beginning. Newer TVs released after 2014 will have webOS. Older models released between 2011 and 2015 will have NetCast. See the images below to help tell the difference.

3. Change DNS
Push the Home button on your remote.
Select the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner.
Select All Settings at the bottom right.
Select Network. Then, look under Wired Connection (Ethernet) and WiFi Connection; one will state that it is "Connected to Internet". Select the item that is connected.
Your current DNS server is displayed here. Select Edit.
Remove the check for Set Automatically.
Select the DNS Server field. Enter the DNS server you wish to use, then select Connect.
4. Change DNS
Press the Settings button on your remote.
Select Network, then Network Connection.
Select Start Connection.
Select your connection type here.
Select Other Network List.
Select your network again, then select Set Expert.
At the bottom, select Manual Input, then enter your DNS servers. Finally, select OK.
Select Complete.
