1. Introduction

Making sure your Xbox 360 is online with a good connection is often the first step in determining any other problems you may be having.

This guide will walk you through making sure your console is online, and offer to help guide you through getting it back online if problems arise.

2. Test internet connection

1. Go to Settings and select System.
   

1. Select Network Settings.
   

1. Select your network from the list, it has a check mark in the corner.
   

1. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
   

By testing your Xbox Live connection, your Xbox will automatically check for any system updates. If prompted, choose Yes to perform the update.
