How to Install the Netgear Orbi App

1. Introduction

The Orbi app allows you to set up and control your Orbi Mesh WiFi System from anywhere. It also allows you to configure parental controls and guest access, monitor the internet usage, perform speed tests, update the firmware on your Orbi devices and more. This guide will show you how to install the Orbi app onto your phone or tablet.

2. Install the Orbi App

The Orbi app is available for Android and iOS devices. Choose the type of device you have and expand the instructions below:

On Android Phones and Tablets

1. Open Google Play.
   

1. Select the Search Bar at the top.
   

1. Type in "Netgear Orbi", then select the app from the list.
   

1. Select Install then Open to launch the app.
   

On iPhones and iPads

1. Open the App Store.
   

1. Select Search in the bottom right corner.
   

1. Type in "Netgear Orbi" in the search field at the top.
   

1. Select Get and Install, then Open to use it.
   

3. First Launch of the Orbi App

On the first launch of the Orbi app you'll have to agree with the Terms and Conditions, approve some permissions for the app and log in with a new or existing account:

1. Read through the Terms and Conditions then tap Agree at the bottom of the screen.
   

1. Choose whether you want to Enable Push Notifications to receive alerts about your Orbi network and app or tap Continue otherwise.
   

1. Choose whether you want to Allow or Don't Allow location services for the app.
   

1. Tap Get Started to log in with an existing or create a new Netgear account.
   

1. Choose Log In if you already have an existing Netgear account or Create Account if you don't have one yet.
   

1. To Log In with an Existing Account
2. Fill in your Email Address and Password associated with your Netgear account and tap Log In.

3. Fill in all the required information and create your new Netgear account.
