How to Install the Roku App

This guide will show you how to install the Roku app onto your phone or tablet to use it as a remote control with your Roku TV, Player or Stick.

2. Install the Roku App

The Roku App is available for Android and iOS devices. Choose the type of device you have and expand the instructions below:

On an Android Phone or Tablet

1. Launch the Play Store app on your Android device.
   

1. Tap in the search box at the top of the screen.
   

1. Type "Roku" in the search bar at the top. The app will show up below.
   

1. Tap Install and then Open to use it.

On an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

1. Launch the App Store.
   

1. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
   

1. Type "Roku" in the search bar at the top. The app will show up below.
   

1. Tap Get and Install, then Open to use it.

3. Connect the Phone or Tablet to the Roku Device

1. Launch the Roku App on your phone or tablet.
