INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PLAY iTUNES AUDIOBOOKS THROUGH SMART SOUNDTOUCH 130

Determine if the Audiobook files are AAC files.

In iTunes, Audiobooks carry a .m4b extension and will not show up in the SoundTouch app. However, .m4b files can be changed to .m4a files and re-imported if they are AAC files.

If the file is AAC, change the extension to .m4a.

  1. Locate the audio file. Unless it's been manually changed, the location is /Users/[username]/Music/iTunes/

  2. Select and then single-click the file name to rename it. Alternatively, right-click the file name and select Rename

  3. Change the extension at the end of the file name from .acc to .m4a

  4. Re-add the file to iTunes

  5. Once added, change the Media Kind for the file to Music

  6. Right-click the file
  7. Click Options
  8. Click the Media kind drop-down menu and select Music

  1. Wait up to 15 minutes for your Music Library to automatically sync

  2. In the Music LIbrary, go to the Books & Spoken Word genre to find and play the file.
