INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PROGRAM THE REMOTE FOR SMART SOUNDTOUCH 130

Your system supports Consumer Electronics Control (CEC), which lets you control other devices that also support CEC just by connecting them to your system with HDMI. When using CEC products with HDMI, there is no need to program your remote. Just be sure CEC is enabled in your system menu and in the menus of all connected devices. Some manufacturers refer to CEC by a different name.

Alternatively, you can also program your remote to control a device via IR (infrared). Programming your remote to control a device overrides CEC control of that device.

  1. Power on the source device you want to control

  2. Locate the code for the source brand in the Universal Remote Device Codes book

  3. On the remote control, press and hold the appropriate source button until all six source buttons glow, then release it. Only the appropriate source button glows

  4. Enter the code for the source brand
  5. If all six buttons blink three times, an invalid code was entered. Try again
  6. Press Volume +

  7. Test the source for common functions
    .
    For example:

  8. For TVs, press the channel buttons, check if the TV Menu appears when you press Menu, then check if the arrow keys navigate the menu
