How to Set Up a C by GE C-Reach Smart Bridge

1. Introduction

This guide will help you set up your C-Reach Smart Bridge to be able to control your C by GE lights with a virtual assistant or when you're away from home.

You must have the C by GE app installed

2. Prep Smart Bridge

Plug the smart bridge into a wall outlet.

C-Reach smart bridge plugged into power outlet.

Your mobile device will need to be connected to the smart bridge's setup network in order to proceed.
The Wi-Fi setup network will contain C-Reach in its name.

3. Connect Android to Wi-Fi

Depending on what device (Smartphone or Tablet) and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be similar across all Android devices and generations.

Open Settings.

Select Wi-Fi.

Select the Wi-Fi network name that contains C-Reach in the list below to connect to it.

4. Smart Bridge Setup

Launch the C by GE app on your mobile device.

Tap Add in the top right corner.

Then tap Add New Devices.

Select C-Reach.

We've already connected to the smart bridges's Wi-Fi and we're ready to proceed, so just tap Continue.

Tap Done to finish.

5. Connect iOS to Wi-Fi

Depending on what device (iPhone or iPad) and which generation you have, the menu theme and options might look slightly different on your screen. However, the steps should be the same across all iOS devices and generations.

Open Settings.

Select Wi-Fi.

Select the Wi-Fi network name that contains C-Reach in the list below to connect to it.
