How to set up a YubiKey with 1Password

Two-factor authentication provides an extra layer of protection for your 1Password account. If you have a FIDO2/WebAuthn security key, you can use it as a second factor in supported apps and browsers instead of a six-digit authentication code.

2. Set Up

1. Sign in to your account on 1Password.com on your computer.
2. Click your name in the top right and choose My Profile.

1. Click More Actions > Manage Two-Factor Authentication.

1. Click Add a Security Key and enter a name for your security key and click Next.

1. Insert your security key into the USB port on your computer.

1. Touch the sensor on your security key.

1. When you see “Your security key was successfully registered”, click Done.
