1. Introduction

This Guide will help use Auto Frame on Insta360 One X2 Edition

Insta360 ONE X2 Pocket Camera with Ultra-Bright Touchscreen and Voice Control. The One X2 is an incredible multi-cam rig that fits in the pocket. With single lens shooting or dual lens 5.7k capture it has the smoothest stabilization in the game. Shoot 360 footage and broadcast it live to Facebook and YouTube or use the powerful companion editing application on the smartphone to take the footage further.

2. Auto Frame

Shooting in 360° gives you infinite possibilities and perspectives. Auto Frame uses a powerful algorithm to sift through your photos and recommend the ones that are worth adding to your edit.
This feature is only available for 360 photos/videos\

  1. Enter the Album page of the Insta360 app and open your shot

  2. The original picture and the picture with the Auto Frame effect applied will display on the page. Tap to view

4. 360° Videos

  1. Enter the Album page of the Insta360 app and open the video

  2. Tap the “Auto Frame” icon in the bottom left corner to Auto Frame the footage
  1. Auto Frame will then analyze the footage. Make sure to keep the App running in the foreground during analysis
  1. After the analysis is complete, tap to view each clip individually and trim it. The icon in the upper left corner of each clip indicates the subject and framing direction (such as people, cars, dogs, buildings, and Forward View, Selfie View, In or out Direction
  1. Select the clip and tap Save in the upper right corner
  2. Now preview and edit the video by adding filters, adjusting color and adding background music.
    Note: Currently, after using Auto Frame, trimming, speed adjustment, Smart Track and Pivot Points are not supported
  1. After editing, tap Export in the upper right corner and export to your phone’s local album.
