Amazon Alexa is a smart platform designed to answer your questions and respond to your voice commands. You can ask Alexa to perform a huge number of tasks, and answer a vast array of questions.
Alexa's abilities can be extended and expanded with additional features, called Skills. These skills can range from simple speakers, to music or video playing programs, to smart home devices, and even other services.
At each point, Alexa's main interface remains: you interact with Alexa primarily by speaking to it naturally.

Read the latest news headlines.

In most areas, you can get information about local businesses.

Set Timers
Alexa will keep time for you, hands free, so you can focus on your task at hand.
Set a timer for 10 minutes.
Remind me at 4 PM to let the dog out.
Set an alarm for 7 AM.
General Knowledge
Alexa knows a great deal of information, and can answer with a short summary.
How tall is One World Trade Center?
How far is it to Paris?
How many ounces in a quart?
Extended Features
The following commands need to have a Skill added from the Amazon App store. You can do this using the Alexa app on your phone.
Play Games
Alexa has some basic capabilities to play games, and there's a bunch more available for free and to purchase as Skills from the Amazon App store.
Play twenty questions.
Play Jeopardy.
Play Harry Potter quiz.
Music
While Alexa will attempt to find your favorite radio station or streaming music service, in most cases, you will need to add a Skill for the exact services you use for music.

Play classic rock.
Control Smart Home Devices
After adding the Skill, Alexa can control a huge variety of smart home devices, from lights to robot vacuum cleaners to smart microwaves.
Turn on my kitchen lights.
Lock my front door.
Start my vacuum.
5. Best Practices
Keep in mind:For Alexa to work, you need an active Wi-Fi connection. An active Wi-Fi connection means that Alexa can stream music and other media from the Cloud, and answer your questions or process your requests.
Place your Alexa device in an ideal location
Make sure your Alexa device is at least eight inches away from walls or other objects that may cause interference (like microwave ovens or baby monitors).
If your Alexa device is on the floor, move it to a higher location.
Be clear
Make sure there is no background noise when you speak to Alexa.
Speak naturally and clearly to Alexa.
Be specific
Repeat your question or request.
Rephrase your question or make it less general. For example, there are many cities around the world called "Paris." If you want to know the weather in Paris, France, say, "What's the weather like in Paris, France?"
Check the Alexa app to see what Alexa heard. On the Home screen, select Learn more at the bottom of the interaction card. You can read what Alexa heard, listen to your request, or provide feedback.
6. Connect External Speaker
If you'd like your Eufy Genie to play through a larger speaker, you can connect it to an external speaker using the included 3.5mm AUX cable.
Connect one end of the AUX cable to the AUX port on the back of your Eufy Genie.
Connect the other end to the speaker of your choice
For best performance, make sure the external speaker is as far away from the Eufy Genie as possible.
7. General Use
Open EufyHome.
To turn on or off a lamp, select the toggle switch below the lamp itself to change a single lamp, or beneath a room to turn on or off all the lamps in that room.
To adjust a lamps color, select the lamp itself.
Here, you'll be able to adjust the color and brightness of your lamp.
